virgin media tv down, birmingham schools internet down

Looks like virgin media/telewest are having some problems.

 

Our tv went down last night the v+ box wouldn't even reboot. Checking on the net found that most of the midlands was down.

 

Then got to work this morning to find that the telewest internet connection is down. Got a message from link2ict saying that around 60 schools in the south of birmingham are without internet access.

 

Someone here at school mentioned something about a fire at one of the data centres. Anyone heard anything?

Virgin isn't too bad as long as you don't need anything fixed For schools it's usually the people inbetween Virgin and the school that are the problem

We have a member of staff who's son works for VM and apparently the Gas board choped though a load of cables.

 

So whats this war room process then? Have they just switched to a different line?

Lol, well whatever it is it didn't work. Net came on for about 5 minutes then has been off again since about 9.

 

Thank god for my blackberrys internet connection to get me through these hard times.
