cookie_monster Posted November 19, 2009 Posted November 19, 2009 (edited) A family member has asked for a Wii fit board for crimbo, I know nothing about the Wii really. I take it a Wii fit board is just a Wii fit like this? or is the board bit an addon [ame=http://www.amazon.co.uk/Nintendo-RVLRRFNE-Wii-Fit/dp/B000VJRU44/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=videogames&qid=1258658596&sr=1-1]Wii Fit (Wii): Amazon.co.uk: PC & Video Games[/ame] Edited November 19, 2009 by cookie_monster

elsiegee40 Posted November 19, 2009 Posted November 19, 2009 The board is an extra bit of hardware that can be used with some games.
cookie_monster Posted November 19, 2009 Author Posted November 19, 2009 I got one the other week, don't forget you need a Wii also oh no looks so cool I've seen the Tony Hawks skake game:D Oh well it looks like i've found the game to go with mums present
AntiThesis Posted November 20, 2009 Posted November 20, 2009 I <3 my Wii Fit Just make sure that you don't get the standalone wii fit game that comes without the board Also, try for Wii Fit Plus - more features and pretty much the same price IIRC
cookie_monster Posted November 20, 2009 Author Posted November 20, 2009 The Wii fit plus seems to be £80 rather than the Wii fit which is £60 unless you know of a place selling for less Just make sure that you don't get the standalone wii fit game that comes without the board Do you mean that the free game is naff and to get another one as well?
sidewinder Posted November 20, 2009 Posted November 20, 2009 Do you mean that the free game is naff and to get another one as well? No, he just means they sell the game on its own too, so make sure you order the bundle! Cant believe people are still interested in it, had one - hardly used it. bit of a gimmick
cookie_monster Posted November 20, 2009 Author Posted November 20, 2009 No, he just means they sell the game on its own too, so make sure you order the bundle! Cant believe people are still interested in it, had one - hardly used it. bit of a gimmick How tight that they don't bundle a cr@p game with them all, I remember the 6 rubbish games that you got with the Sega Menacer. As for interest I feel the same about Sing Star and people I know are still mad for that rubbish
sidewinder Posted November 20, 2009 Posted November 20, 2009 No, you do get a game with them all (as far as I know) but they also sell the game on its own for people who already have the board for whatever reason
gavins38 Posted November 20, 2009 Posted November 20, 2009 We bought Wii Fit when it was first released. Had months of fun with it. I'm glad to see they're releasing more games that use it.
cookie_monster Posted November 27, 2009 Author Posted November 27, 2009 What silly wording "Wii Fit with Balance Board" I thought the Wii Fit was the Balance Board. Buy Wii Fit with Balance Board. at Argos.co.uk - Your Online Shop for . Right now to try and find it for under £60
DSapseid Posted November 27, 2009 Posted November 27, 2009 What silly wording "Wii Fit with Balance Board" I thought the Wii Fit was the Balance Board. Buy Wii Fit with Balance Board. at Argos.co.uk - Your Online Shop for . Right now to try and find it for under £60 The wii fit is the actual game that you put in the wii and the balance board is actually the board itself. You can use the board with other games such as some snowboarding one i think and that says something like compatible with wii balance board on the box. HTH
Cummins Posted November 27, 2009 Posted November 27, 2009 Mine's neatly boxed up at the back of my tele... turns out guitar hero is more entertaining
