It depends on your uses really. If you require the height adjustablility that an all-in-one system can offer then you have no real option in the projection market. Casio's are always good if your going to stand alone, no lamps, long life etc. Alternatively, interactive LCD's are always good (CleverTouch etc.) but do tend to have more expensive initial costs. Pros being better quality image, no maintenance etc. Can get height adjustable wall brackets for some of these also do weigh a bit so ideally a solid wall.

You can get 82" in CleverTouch now-a-days, with the increased brightness, clarity of image and lack of shadowing I wouldn't see it being a problem for most classrooms.

Used a few of these interactive projectors, they seem to work well enough. Main downfall is the pens and potentially shaking/moving of image. If you can afford it I'd suggest looking at Interactive LCD Screens (for example CleverTouch)? Full HD displays, no shaking, interactivity, dual touch. Downfall being you need a good solid wall.

I'd suggest possibly looking at moving away from SMART completely then. Why don't you look at getting a dedicated touch LCD? There are currently two main brands available at present - CleverLCD Touch and VTron. The main differences being LCD Touch runs via a stand-alone PC similar to a SMART Board but VTron's have PC's built in. It saves you buying a consumer panel or a business panel then buying a frame (atleast then only 1 thing can go wrong too ) Again there avail up to about 65" similar to SMART and I believe both can run the SMART Notebook software.

Ahh so SMARTTable's are essentially the Wii's of the classroom? Great when you first get them but unless you invest time in them there pointless? In regards to lieing a board down that may be problamitic due to projector... Short throw on a boom would likely wobble and unalign too much. Keep the reviews coming please!

SMART Table! I have no experience of these personally and a colleague of mine is interested. If anyone could help me out it would be much appreciated. We have the following queries a) Are they any good? b) Are they worth the price tag? c) If you have one - are they being used to full capabilities? I believe Microsoft now have something similar so how does it stack up again that aswell? Any feedback appreciated. Adam

If you can't find the serial number you will need to contact the supplier as they will be able to trace the number back (though they will groan alot about it). And base for SMART is in Canada if i'm not mistaken. Lets hope it doesn't break

There isn't a great deal of differences in the system to be honest. Each as easy as the next - the system you would need would be a SMARTBoard + ED-A101/111 (Orange or White) with relevant mount/cable kit etc. Only downside would be having 2 points of contacts for warranties but upsides include cost and ability to swap out components seperately if you have problems late down the line. Also I believe EDA's come with lamp warranties.
