Windows 7 users logging onto EduGeek

Following a request for information by Ray Fleming from Microsoft we were pleasently surprised to see that Windows 7 is the third most popular OS used by people vising EduGeek. The most popular being (in the past 30 days):

 

Win XP - 203941

Win Vista - 64571

Windows 7 - 54701

Mac - 25533

Win 98 - 111

Win ME - 6

Win 95 - 6

Which in a way is not all that surprising is it, given the user base?

What do the numbers mean? Is it visitors (I know there are fewer than 203,941 members but I'd guess lots of people visit anonymously) or is it just pages retrieved? (ie if I visit Edugeeek 10 times today from a Windows 7 machine does that count as 10??)

 

I'd guess what I'm asking is does that tell me the number of unique machines visiting the site or the number of visits (so someone who has the page auto-refreshing every 10 seconds counts an awful lot!)

Nice to see MAC is a long way down, shows that Windows is King Surprised how high up 7 is though, has it gone higher since the launch of it or just a gentle gradual increase?

It is every indivigual computer that visits Edugeek, It wouldn't be anything to shout about if it was every time someone visited the site really would it?

Got to admit, I'd be interested in seeing a more complete list. Between Mac and Win98 is it just several different flavours of Linux/BSD or are there som other truely obscure OS popping up like Haiku?
