Just a small heads up for all those people who will be buying Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 tomorrow, head to your local sainsburys as it will be £26!!!

Is that for what?

I too am pretty annoyed at the pc port. Looks like bad company 2 will be ruling on the pc for a while when it comes out...

Just to say that it isn't totally confirmed and could change (increase) depending on what the other stores are doing. Also it is likely it will be a launch day price only. Early trip to Sainsburys for me then.

Gah I paid 39.99 to preorder at ToysrUs because I don't trust having it posted after Royal Mail stole my Gears of War 2 order a while back :(

I'll be there 9am tomorrow to collect... annual leave booked and new Xbox Live sub bought on eBay last night so I'm all set :D

Really hacked off at the PC situation though as I just bought a Razer mouse to play it but no point without mods and deidcated servers, Activision shame on you!

There is an online petition at the min with over 188000 signatures of people who want dedicated servers, custom maps and mods etc etc.

More than enough people to make game that allows all that!

Surely this'll happen over time like it has with CoD4 and CoD5?

My Tesco Direct order still says - Warehouse - Awaiting Dispatch :(

They took payment almost 3 months ago, they better get it to me for release day at least!!

Peanuts compared to worldwide console sales

Nope, IW have stated quite categorically no servers and max 9v9 on their multiplayer games. If you search you'll find plenty of porr features for the PC such as no record feature, can't "lean" etc etc

IW Have firmly laid out their stall for the console gamer

Wonder how it would compare to PC ISO downloads, PC people aren't helped by how much MW was pirated.

Mmmm that sucks, COD4 is legendary! I was really looking forward to this sequel, the FPS's home is the PC they suck on consoles. What would have been good is PC vs Consoles in multiplayer.

I support the option for a centralized server environment for normal multiplayer but I really think that removing the OPTION of dedicated servers entirely is totally ruining the game.

I fail to see how, each PC copy retails around £45 (roughly based on exhange rate etc). They'll stand to lose over £30million.

As for console sales, it was the PC sales (which were on average 3 times that of xbox and PS3 combined) that made all other versions of COD4 game of the year editions (for Xbox, PS3, PC etc).

Also bare in mind, most of the people who have signed the petition online, alot have stated that they are also boycotting the console sales, so it could stand that they'll lose upto £60million based on these figures alone, and considering they make around £300million per year, £30-£60 million is a large chunk (10% - 20% of annual profit).

Tell me they wont listen after taking that sort of hit?

Then you take in to account that they can charge to be "official" dedicated servers that log stats if they wanted and the huge amount of money to be made for lots of companies that host these servers as well.

Its a really big mistake tbh what they have done, I knew so many people dying to play it and buy it on launch for pc for clan use etc and they have ALL canceled preorders. These were people who pre-ordered the *full* collectors edition too.

When the "10m sales" headlines hit in june 2008 the xbox 'sold' the most, with PC in last place (sales wise, not players!). It has now sold over 13m copies. The PC doesnt sell anywhere near the consoles. Nor does it have the turnover addition of the add-ons that do very, very well on consoles.

Place your bets: It'll sell more than Cod4 and it wont matter if the PC boys boycott it.
