mac_shinobi Posted October 20, 2009 Posted October 20, 2009 Mmmm Ubuntu-brown. Much better than clinical-white or dull brushed-metal grey ready for when the brown stuff hits the fan
GrumbleDook Posted October 20, 2009 Posted October 20, 2009 Many ASEs have been geared up for this for a while. Wouldn't surprise me if Apple do start selling boxes with 7 on, or at least make it available.
mac_shinobi Posted October 20, 2009 Posted October 20, 2009 Looks like it was for the new iMac New iMac's wonder if they will ever get around to upgrading the Mac Pro's , hopefully SSD's and when it comes out DDR 4 RAM and better graphics cards ?
SC-UK Posted October 20, 2009 Posted October 20, 2009 Mmmm quad-core 27" iMac - I may be very tempted by one of these at some point soon.
googlemad Posted October 20, 2009 Posted October 20, 2009 I'm surprised I haven't seen "The thinnest iMac ever" line somewhere yet. I wish I had time to get into using my iMac more.
tech_guy Posted October 20, 2009 Posted October 20, 2009 Seriously though, I want one of the 27" jobbies!
googlemad Posted October 20, 2009 Posted October 20, 2009 Also updated : Mac Mini (Anyone fancy a Mac Mini server for their school? ) MacBook Apple Keyboard Magic Mouse (With new multi touch scroll wheel pad thingy, might be getting myself one of those!) 1
FN-GM Posted October 20, 2009 Posted October 20, 2009 Apple remotes no longer come with iMacs, you have to pay extra. Charming
garethEds Posted October 20, 2009 Posted October 20, 2009 Still a superdrive instead of a bluray drive! Wonder why they haven't gone there yet. GJE
googlemad Posted October 20, 2009 Posted October 20, 2009 Apple remotes no longer come with iMacs, you have to pay extra. Charming Well they do come with the wireless keyboard bundled now, which is a lot more useful
sparkeh Posted October 20, 2009 Posted October 20, 2009 I just want an iPod Touch. And a macbook pro. And everything else on the site
garethEds Posted October 20, 2009 Posted October 20, 2009 I wish they did part-ex. I'd sent mine back and get a 27" machine. GJE

Wonder why they haven't gone there yet. GJE Possibly waiting until next time, another new feature for the new modal. Also it might bump up the price allot as they are expensive.
HodgeHi Posted October 20, 2009 Posted October 20, 2009 Blu-ray. I reckon they are relying on the speed of the internet increasing enough to dislodge Bluray in favour of the streaming of HD films. Sticking in a Bluray player could potentially destroy their HD film sales/rentals. These haven't really taken off as well as the iTunes store has. Apple remotes haven't been shipped with imacs since the white imac disappeared. Most importantly though and something i think most people whose Schools are venturing into mac ownership is the mac mini shipped with server pre-installed. Doesn't have a DVD drive though. So when you mess up the configuration you had better be good with the remote install
