witch Posted July 22, 2009 Posted July 22, 2009 It's my birthday - mrwITch has gone to work, (I really couldn't bear to get up at 6 and open my present) youngest child ( the one who would have got up early and made me tea and toast) is away, and the two sons are snoring in their beds... I have had one phone call from my mum. There is a pile of cards on the kitchen table but frankly, opening them all on my own seems a bit sad. We are having a big BBQ on Sat for our joint birthdays so we are doing nothing today. I thought it would be OK but it actually isn't. It was, until some friends yesterday were horrified when I said that I was doing nothing for my birthday and mrwITch wasn't even taking the day off...and I have to go to work later (I am term-time only). So, I thought I would be really needy and come on here cravenly begging for good wishes to make me feel better.

Suitable alternatives are chocolate for now and/or something extraordinarily nice for lunch (very large cream cake perhaps!) Happy Birthday!
