LeMarchand Posted July 3, 2009 Posted July 3, 2009 Asked the AO to get a new lamp unit for one of the projectors in the school, and she picked this lot as they seemed to be on the south coast and the price was right. They promised speedy delivery, but blew it on that score, though after much chasing they lived up to the beginning of their name by providing literally just the lamp. After taking the old cartridge apart and fitting the lamp, it didn't work. As soon as I could, I ran a multimeter across the bulb and it seemed faulty. At that stage the LEA hadn't paid them as they didn't live up to the second part of their name, as they are based in France. We reported the fault, but were unable to get a replacement lamp sent as they apparently have found that their supplier was unreliable. We agreed to order a "proper" replacement (with cartridge) and pay the difference, but were told that a credit note could only be issued on receipt of the faulty lamp - they'd email the details. One week and 3 calls later, still no details and the LEA have unfortunately paid up. It's not looking hopeful...
LeMarchand Posted July 7, 2009 Author Posted July 7, 2009 Finally got an email! It said go to our site and use the online RMA procedure, which would be great - if it worked. (The drop down menu for "type of lamp" isn't populated and the form throws an error if you don't fill in the field.

DMXDave Posted November 9, 2013 Posted November 9, 2013 Sorry for digging up an old thread. I bought some "original" lamps from these clowns who are based in France but as previously stated are claiming to be in the UK. The lamps they sent were not originals but copies, when I complained they asked me to send them back (at my expense) It took 2 months for them to send me a refund and they used every trick in the book to delay it! STAY AWAY!
Zourous Posted November 9, 2013 Posted November 9, 2013 I also agree with the last post. The lamps were fine when there were no problems, but when we had an issue they were terrible. Long delays, lamps sent back to France at our expense (not cheap), when you spoke to them they didn't give a sh*t. Their UK location is just along the road from us, but i think it's just a store where they sent out lamps from. I now use a company called Wallis, good prices, brillant support when things go wrong and free chocolate with orders
rich_tech Posted November 11, 2013 Posted November 11, 2013 I would not normally add to an old post either, but to share a negative experience, but having ordered a bulb from these one time, they kept telling us it had been dispatched, this went on for nearly a fortnight, we ordered a bulb then off another supplier and told these to cancel the order for us, which they told us they had done, their telephone service was pretty bad overall and a struggle to get understanding at times. For the bulb off them to arrive a week later with their invoice, we told them to arrange its return and get it picked up as we wont be shelling out for its return, which they did and we have avoided these since then. I would tell anyone to avoid this company based on that single experience, it was awful.
