djh Posted July 3, 2009 Author Posted July 3, 2009 No we were going to use time machine but it didn't give us as much flexability as we wanted so were using backup exec, which has a client agent which installs with a script from symantec ( i followed the instructions to the t).
soapyfish Posted July 3, 2009 Posted July 3, 2009 (edited) are you patched and upto date on the agent software and the backup exec itself ? http://news.support.veritas.com/connect/forums/ralus-11d-incremental-backups-extremely-slow would this link apply to your situation ? Also this one might hold the key http://www.symantec.com/connect/forums/backup-failure-macintosh-system#M20313 Edited July 3, 2009 by soapyfish Adding Links more links
djh Posted July 3, 2009 Author Posted July 3, 2009 We're using 12.5 and i downloaded the latest version for symantec file download only a few days ago, also we're not nessilsarily getting any errors any more its just incredibly slow....
soapyfish Posted July 3, 2009 Posted July 3, 2009 did you try the links i think the second one with the info about file names might be part of your problem
djh Posted July 3, 2009 Author Posted July 3, 2009 Yep had a look through that, I can't see anything that looks like it could be causing a problem name wise. Thanks anyway.
