Got some software that the LEA provided for Network installation called Perfect Times. A teacher on a maths course came back with it about a year ago.

First class to try it came into our ICT Suite this afternoon and it failed to run coming up with a series of similar messages starting with:

"Director Player Error:

The application requires an extra (text) that either does not exist or failed to initalise properly. Please make sure that appropriate extras are in the xtras folder (s)."

PT runs fine when I log on a student whilst network logged on with admin permissions but when the individuals try to log on to it the same series of messages come up.

I notice that tmp*.tmp folders appear at attempted log on in the Perfect Times folder not the Xtra folder - might that have something to do with it?

Seems to be a folder permissions thing to me but I can't see what. Any suggestions please?

I honestly have never heard of it!

Our LEA seemed to purchase an agreement to use it a while ago you can see details of it here: Perfect Times: A Live Lab experiment for BBC's Tomorrow's World Roadshow. However, e-mailing Wendy on the about page bounces. Iconography Limited was the company who originally put the software together but they no longer seem to offer any support on it. Pity as it seems very useful software.
