and it doesn't matter what "they" do at the other end.

 

Anyhow now I can relax. DHL arrived this morning to collect my parcel, even though I didn't have a bag from them first. Just got to hope that the packaging doesn't split in transit. Now I have homework to do before October delivery of goods.

I have emailed Tesco Vouchers for Schools on three occassions to complain about the inability to bank further vouchers once an order has been sent in as I think this is a bit of a rip off, especially since we were encouraged to use the free DHL collection service before the final closure date.

 

Needless to say that I have had no reply and phoning the help line is a complete waste of time, either engaged or rings for long periods with no answer.:mad:

 

We don't collect a vast amount of vouchers, but to loose out on banking around 1500 is really galling since on previous schemes we were able to do this. I guess the phone lines will be back to normal after July 3rd!

 

Next step, a letter to Mr Leahy me thinks.

@pbrian49 - 100% agree with you; thankfully we're only losing out on banking a couple of hundred vouchers, not the 1500 which you've got, but it still irritates me that we were strong-armed into using the DHL service so bound by their dates.

 

The cynic in me is convinced that this, plus the much earlier banking deadline, is simply a way of Tesco ensuring that they pay out less money.

That's what the cynic in me says to Nick. Also considering that I didn't request any DHL bags, they were sent to me a week before the in store voucher give away finished, they said they sent them based on our last year's collection. No pressure to use DHL there then!

Other pressure towards DHL is that the Freepost service only applies with under 3500 vouchers; if you collect more than that, you can use the free DHL service or pay for the postage.

 

Since the scheme is now no longer only for IT equipment, I'm tempted to see if I can't push this one off to someone else, and let them have the hassles...

ours are being picked up today apparently....just over 12k, and stuck them all in one bag.

 

Naff all IT wise in the catalogue, so I did the nice thing and let PE have everything!!

I'm trying to arrange DHL to collect my lot of vouchers I don't have that many. I just can seem to get though when I Press 7 to get DHL bit of the phone I get cut off!

Just an update to my previous posts about banking deadlines, orders etc etc. Well, I emailed Tesco Head Office on Friday to complain and I have received a call today to say that I can now send my vouchers off for banking so long as they get them by the end of the week.

 

Duly packed up 3,390 vouchers on off they went to Wembley a few minutes ago.

 

For any one in the same situation here is the phone number 0208 7823304 that I was given. I said that several other schools were in the same situation and I was told that the deadline had been extended to this Friday.
