teddybear Posted June 7, 2009 Author Posted June 7, 2009 Success, £180 cancellation fee waived, finally, You need to tell them you received a text with a link which you followed and it said this at the bottom " Finally because of the 3 Like Home change, it’s only fair that we point out your right to end your contract with us, without paying an early cancellation fee. However we very much hope it won’t come to that because we still believe we offer great value rates and great coverage. " As soon as I mentioned this they backed down without question. Also bear in mind cultural differences. It seems you will get further if you put a man on the phone. Not saying its right, but the guy I talked to changed is tune as soon I started talking to him. Also keep trying, we had 20 knock backs before they gave in. 20 knock backs, lol, good to see you were persistant :-) 1

Guest monkeyx Posted June 9, 2009 Posted June 9, 2009 took 3 calls and a lot of repeating myself! But got there in the end No to find out how to unlock my N95 8gb any ideas please
gnujack Posted July 22, 2009 Posted July 22, 2009 i know this thread is a month old, but just incase anyone else is still thinking of trying this, it will no longer work. they have this stupid thing in their small print where you have exactly one month to react to any change in the contract, after which it's hopeless. i ended up coughing up £120 to end my contract, but i'm just glad to be rid of that company. with o2 now - SO much better - you can tell they care about their customers. never going back to three.
Batman Posted July 22, 2009 Posted July 22, 2009 Similar here - I signed a 3 contract and they never connected it. Carphone warehouse were part of the problem too. Took it back after a week and went with O2 instead, got a really good deal too... had to wait a month for my deposit back though.

Doesnt apply as they cannot legally change your contract without notifying you, sending you 2 copies and you signing the updated agreement and sending it back, otherwise it is null and void. Lovely bit of contractual law for you there!
