I'm not too sure whether you are still having problems with the advert banner, but until it is resolved how about losing the "don't block ads" message image?

The ad's appear to be working ok now... unless people are still get the issue.

My display seems to be OK now. Haven't seen the "lost" url message for a while. Good suggestion though for future issues. Thanks.

Looks like they're ok for me. I'm not really fussed about the broken message, I'm more worried about the ads working so el geek stays in business!

I am now getting all the Ads at home, but not at school.

 

I get the Ads were Blocked message at the top of the page in the sponsored links.

 

Our filtering is done by RM, but I used to get them at school until a month or so ago.

Same here so it looks like RM have added an ad blocker to the standard filters :-(

I can confirm that ads dont display in safari, i will open a post for you

I'm still seeing the odd problem where the ad doesn't display but El' Geek has been sluggish for a few days for me so it might be that.
