Now normally I hate when people complain about salaries here but interestingly the lunch time supervisor advert underneath pays £6.19 per hour, while the IT job works out at £6.93.

 

Take Home after tax = £251.13 / 36.25 = £6.93

But the hourly rate is nearer £8.50 gross. The £6.19 per hour for a lunchtime supervisor will still be subject to NI & Tax (assuming someone is working enough hours)

Yes but if that was your only income you would not pay tax, in fact you'd be paid tax credits as well taking you above the tech Edited May 12, 2009 by somabc

I know of cleaners and lolli pop ladies who are on more than me. As cheap as you can get away with nowa days. Can't blame them. If I was incharge I would be doing the same.
