Well after a great day at the conference, my car has been in the garage all day with a shattered clutch :(

 

Went to pick it up at 3 after a call saying it was ready, only to get in it and find the gear stick could move in any direction it chose...

 

It's still in the garage awaiting more parts :(

Well... Rob arrived back... but he isn't in work - this is apparently the fault of Steve? :puke:

I will just rub it in that my car was fine, serves you right for sending me on a wild goose chase arround chorley! :) :)

All I know is that our office is at only 50% capacity today ;)

 

Ha ha :) You missed a good conf and a good drinking session

 

I have a collection of smoothwall business cards here, very trendy ones if i say so myself! I should give him a ring on Monday and wind him up a little :)

@FN-GM - sorry about that but hey thats google's fault!! Got home fine bit clunky til I got on the M61, then again just at the M60 with traffic down to 30- other than that it was a good journey (no clutch needed @ 70mph lol) :( but real trouble came, as it always does, as I pulled up, or rather rolled up, in front of my house - couldn't get 1st or 2nd gear at all.. oh and there was a lot of metallic screetching and a rather ominous burning smell too :eek:

They are all orderd DB assured us at the start of the day that they we were all ordered but unfortunatly had not arrived. I am sure they will sort out mugs etc as soon as its feasably possible to sort out.

You know its a bad move thanking people individually as you always miss someone out ;) (must remember to pm DB for an address to send the book of raffle tickets to as i've ended up with it in my bag rather than his)

Took me bloody ages to find this thread, then again I wasn't looking particularly hard. Had a fantastic time, hope to do the same next year - good to meet you all and get up to hijinks... Of which Ric_ should have some interesting evidence. :)

 

Took the day off today as I wouldn't have been particularly effective in the office, good opportunity to catch up bedwise from only 3 hours sleep.

I spoke to soon my clutch is a little dodgy tonight, no joke it really is. Someone at the conf must have been tampering with the cars!

Nah ur car looked fine it was the fluffy blue coloured Corsa next to the high class German Engineering in the Car Park (that does need a wash I will admit). Probably your driving style :p

:o Don't blame my account manager Tom, he was working hard selling Smoothwall to the people and being helpful and there was even tech support on the night for us so all was good :) 110% dedicated to the cause are they all :)

 

As for evidence I believe Ric is the man with the bulk of it, don't think I have much on my phone (seems to have a rather nasty lag of late for some reason :() But I do know that Gav has many hidden talents

Yeah there were alot of photo's from last night, mainly on people's phones though :) but as for the conference yes ric has the bulk load. look forward to seeing them.

But with the policy of what happens on the night, stays on the night - it will remain in my private collection :lol:
