mrforgetful Posted June 14, 2006 Posted June 14, 2006 Insurance isn't too much of an issue for me now, 4 years no claims and age 25 in October. I just stay with 1.6 maximum. To be honest it's petrol prices that's the issue now.

I know it's how it works, but I see no reason why I should have to pay ridiculous amounts of money just because other people my age modify their cars and drive at ridiculous speeds endangering the lives others

Tbh I could cycle to work on my mountain bike as it's not very far but I live at the top of a steep hill so getting back up it is a nightmare. Oh and nice car btw

As for petrol costs, yes they are higher than then 2 years ago. When I got the coupe I was paying 76/78 ppl now its anything between 89/96 ppl which works out at £10.00 per tank extra. Not really a big deal for the enjoyment it can give 10 Geek points for webman

Wes I recommended our school buy a Nikon D50 as it's what I use. although the link I've included is to Jessops, that's for information only. I'm sure you can scout around for a better deal. When I bought mine, with a 28mm-55mm and a 70mm-300mm lens and 1gig of memory, it cost me over £800, earlier this year, Jessops (of all people) were offering the camera and 28mm-55mm lens for something under £360, and throwing in the 70mm-300mm for free, I couldn't work out if they were also offering any memory, as I'd been sick over the ad. Having worked as a professional smudge for 25 years in sometimes demanding conditions, I had a good idea what I was looking for. It's not a "true" pro camera, you're talking 4 figures there, but it handles well, the pictures are clear, it has a hotshoe for mounting a larger flash unit, and there are probably more than enough functions for daily use. hope this helps.

That car was produced for journalists - and Nissan said that they would pay £1 per mile to a cancer charity for every mile these journalists drove. [/pointless random fact]

CM786 Posted July 28, 2006 Posted July 28, 2006 I have a mate that has had two RX-7, both Twin Turbo, both beautiful..........but unfortunetly crashed within 1 month of ownership!!! It was wet and he was over taken by some boy racer that cut back in too close to him and clipped the front of his car, which sent him into a spin!! Not sure what he did with the first one! Great cars but lots of power which you must avoid getting carried away with and the rotory engine drinks petrol, he was averaging about 7-8MPG!! He is sensible now however..............bought a 03 Integra Type R! @wesleyw - if your after a Soarer, then check out the Lexus Oweners Club which is a fantastic place (yes..I am a member ) at http://www.lexusownersclub.co.uk/forum and you will get lots of help and advice from genuiniely helpful people.
