Norphy Posted June 8, 2006 Posted June 8, 2006 http://www.microsoft.com/windowsvista/getready/preview.mspx Up to two CD keys per passport, a key will activate on up to ten PCs. No Technet or MSDN subscription required. However the server is really getting hammered atm so you probably won't be able to download it right now.
mullet_man Posted June 8, 2006 Posted June 8, 2006 Yeah been trying all morning keep getting the message "Thank you for your interest in Windows Vista Beta 2. We are currently experiencing a high level of demand and cannot process your request at this time. Please check back later for availability. We apologize for any inconvenience." StewartKnight Posted June 8, 2006 Posted June 8, 2006 if anyone gets an .iso to put up on this site, we could take some of the pressure off Microsoft ;-)
Guest richard Posted June 8, 2006 Posted June 8, 2006 Any difference between this and the one on the technet subscription?
StewartKnight Posted June 8, 2006 Posted June 8, 2006 according to the website, it's the June technet subscription version

StewartKnight Posted June 8, 2006 Posted June 8, 2006 am I the only one who can't get the vista download from mullett_man to download?
Gatt Posted June 8, 2006 Posted June 8, 2006 i downloaded the directlink - in about 5 seconds!! filesize: 13.7MB ???
Guest Posted June 8, 2006 Posted June 8, 2006 Yeh same here. The 32bit link says its 3.12Gb but downloads in a second as a currupt file.
kingswood Posted June 8, 2006 Posted June 8, 2006 I just ordered the DVD pack. Even though BT upgraded me at home to 8MB/s, they cap you. Sooooo...DVD was the best option. Probably get it around January...
crc-ict Posted June 8, 2006 Posted June 8, 2006 I just ordered the DVD pack. Even though BT upgraded me at home to 8MB/s, they cap you. Sooooo...DVD was the best option. Probably get it around January... Same here, I'm on Wanadoo 1Mbps (I live in the sticks - was 512k until about 2 months ago!) and that's capped a 2Gb a month, so as well as taking about 13-14hrs, it would have used 2 months download allowance too! Hope it doesn't take too long to come - been wanting to try Vista right from the first beta!
edie209 Posted June 9, 2006 Posted June 9, 2006 I tried all last night and this morning and just got Thank you for your interest in Windows Vista Beta 2. We are currently experiencing a high level of demand and cannot process your request at this time. Please check back later for availability. We apologize for any inconvenience.
pshuttle Posted June 9, 2006 Posted June 9, 2006 I got the servers busy message all day yesterday but managed to start downloading it using the propriety download manager at about 10:30 PM. Will try it over the weekend. Pete
