stu Posted February 10, 2009 Posted February 10, 2009 Line up has started to be announced as well as early bird tickets selling out, i got mine so saved self £25 quid there xD now waiting for rest of line up so far there, korn, slipknot, devildriver, motley crew, and the prodogy. hope it is as good as last year. who going? who been before? has anyone heard speculation about other bands? I heard lam of god self confirmed but that not very interesting .

Goood time. Can't wait. Which reminds me, time to book the time off.
stu Posted February 10, 2009 Author Posted February 10, 2009 @ domino yeah they do suck compared to some of the wacken etc however i failed not to have a good time at any of the ones i have attended so far and with the group of people im going with expanding all the time can only see it getting better over next year. last year the worst band on the bill was pendulum the sucked hard so wont be seeing them this year

localzuk Posted February 10, 2009 Posted February 10, 2009 Went in 2006, and didn't enjoy it too much. Was far too hot. If it had been cooler, and idiots hadn't spent the entire time lobbing bottles at each other, I would have enjoyed it I think.

It's always been like that, and I think there's not really alot you can do to prevent it. Except getting there 30284 days before the festival? I miss the bottle rockets, the screaming viking people, random people shouting "TIMMMYYYYYY" half way through the night @localzuk: TO HOT?! it's not hot enough! can't get enough of the sun, the only problem is your beer gets warmer quicker. Cool box this year ftw! CANNOT WAIT!
stu Posted February 10, 2009 Author Posted February 10, 2009 my mate had a double air bed that sweat due to the heat but this ment it kept beer really cold was as he didn't appreciate us all wondering in and out of his tent and every hour of day getting out beer, the trek wasn't long because of amount of people they had moved the arena due to race being on the week following so had to walk the length of track to get to arena, which my mates who had been year before said was far worse.

Leeds last year, like when Slipknot were cancelled and (supposedly) Rage's sound quality was awful. Also Leed's atmosphere is terrible compared with download. Download has Slipknot, Korn and Devildriver all confirmed. ISN'T THAT ENOUGH ALREADY Tallica are rumored (again) so that should be interesting. Lamb of God are self confirmed but not confirmed by Kerrang. That will be MENTAL! I want to see Machine Head there again this year. A Day to Remember, Rise Against and Reel Big Fish are currently touring so they might make an appearance.

Take about a usual weeks supply and it tends to be enough for the three days. As long as it's not in glass bottles its goood. TIMMMAYYYY is old hat, its now (well was last year) BUTTSCRATCHER! Why did you take cans and glass bottles in? With the amount of bottle throwing that goes on, doing so is dangerous and irresponsible. (You might not throw em, but when the bin gets knocked over and they spill out, and someone else grabs em, a bottle could hospitalise someone or worse.) And when you don't camp on site, and camp nearby instead, you can't actually hide much on yourself...
