Im sure there is a way you can download the ISOs from microsft after some sort of authentication process. I sure I have heard mention of it on here before.

you are right, if you go to your licensing area on the M$ site you can download the Server 2003 R2 iso, I did it about 3 months ago.

Please don't ask our members to do this as it is highly illegal. Remeber, you are only allowed to posses media (or 1 copy thereof) of media you have purchased. This site is viewed far and wide and asking publicly for this would get our members and this site into trouble. If you require media you can go to the microsoft site and download the trial versions on ISO images. Failing that, you can purchase media for very little through officlail channels. Ask your LEA for more info.

Blatently asking for one of our members to copy then mail you an illegal CD is not acceptable.

"Just buy the license and you can borrow my media to install"

 

This does not seem to be the case then. Sorry again.

 

I'm looking at the volume licensing download site at the moment then. I have my agreement number. I've put it in and it says an email has been sent to the agreement administrator??? Thought that was me??

The e-mail might go to the reseller that you bought the licences through i'm afraid. We had that problems with a supplier we used to use!

Edugeek has to cover its back I suppose and it probably wasn't the best idea asking for the media online. Oh well...Bit Torrent - never heard of it

 

My contact at Pheonix Software was Leigh Simms actually...

 

Abit of messing about (took a week) but compared to our LEA who can take until the end of time not bad (cheaper too).

 

Leigh was very good at responding to emails too.

 

Would use them again.

Yep. Have used Pugh in the past for buying Macromedia Contribute. Very fast

I've just had a very, very bad experience with Pugh, which they have still not resolved after many months of calls and messages. We will never, ever use them again.

A school of mine ordered something from them and it didn't arrive until the following September!

We tend to use Ramesys for most things since they hold the big agreements for SSAT and Specialist Schools.

 

I have used Pugh for things previously, but only for things that are difficult and a pain in the *rse for Ramesys to sort.

Yes we use Pugh. I fail to see the problem with sharing M$ media, just so long as VLK's etc dont change hands?

 

I use the same media for all my schools using their own VLK's. Does this make me a pirate?
