I have had quotes for them as well and they fell just under the Neovo ones, but I stuck with Neovo as I know they are good kit.

I just put in an order with CCL for 33 of these at something like £147 ex vat each but they seem to be having trouble sourcing stock at the moment as my order is delayed.

I bought them from RM before and got free delivery but even with the £100 delivery from CCL they are still cheaper than RM this time. I think the RM price has gone up from before.

Really good monitors, solid and well built they have some bulk to them too so that makes them better than just a normal type of tft with a hard glass front.

TFT monitor + kids fingers = expensive paperweight, especialy when they realise they can make pretty patterns by pressing the screen :x

We've only had one damaged so far, but it's one more than I wanted.

Exactly I'm sorry but I wouldn't trust our kids with a normal soft fronted tft. RM have even produced a laptop with a hard glass tft on it which I think is an excellent idea.

We have the glass fronted ones in an adult learning room, covered in finger marks :( I have also visited another school where they had standard TFT's (without glass) they had none broken and thought these were better than glass front. Personally I think the non-glass are better, to break a tft you have to whack it hard and a glass front will only slow down the inevitable.

But a hard glass tft still has the tft panel behind it so to break it you have to break a sheet of glass and then the tft panel as well.

Plus you can clean them with normal glass/monitor cleaner.

I use AG Neovo E-17 monitors and they are great... excellent picture quality IMHO and you get the benefit of them not being prone to 'punctures'. Before I started my job, my predecessor had to replace a secretary's TFT after she 'popped' it!!!

Considering the number of blunt objects in her office and the number of pointy objects in a kid's pencil case it is a no brainer. They are only £160 which isn't a massive expense more.

BTW - The Xerox monitors look a lot nicer but I believe that the mounts are a little flimsy... unlike the Neovo cast iron-looking affair! :D

Look here Listed at £139.99 but if you give the guys in the education dept a line im sure they will do them cheaper still.
