Presumably a single OLED area of the concept would save considerably on cost, but at the expense of losing the tactile feel of raised keys. Although would be a far more sensible business model than individual, programmable OLED keys......

 

that's if you can even say that OLED technology in a keyboard is a business model. This sort of stuff should be strictly R&D until the costs come down shurely. This is a niche within a niche at that price.
