Just randomly dipped in some of that documentation so far.. and sorry folks (whoever) but picking up large tracts of CSEG/Spook practice and substituting "school" in the occasional sentence is insane.

Problem as it stands is two things this is guidance that has come out of inquiry for all government bodies. Second what do you think LA going to say when they need to tick box that says schools follow data protection. They are going to say lets wack this over the La intranet with note saying all schools must follow it.

So start planning and be ahead of the game.

No, it's not just you.

But give it a while for people to read it... after all this is a 46 page document. :)

Sure, but @Gumbledook's posting seemed to imply there was already discussion going on that was being monitored - so got all excited and looked for said comments in the hope that there was someone out there who understood all this... :getmecoat:

There is no access to some parts of the site at the moment but I have prodded to get that rectified.

The discussions that have gone on so far have been via email, voice conference or Becta organised meetings (some held at Reading courtesy of Microsoft).
