How much would you pay for extended warranty?

I usually by NEC machines for my vanilla network that have three years on site warranty as standard. The service is great and an engineer is usually on site the next day.

Saves a lot of headaches.

Stone desktops here with 5 year on site warranty - like has been said - any problems call someone out and get them to fix it - enough to do without wasting time replacing boards, ram, psu's, cd-roms - that's if you can find the part that fits...

I pay about £200 (ish) for the HP servers we have, each. I think the Dell (server) is about £260. - That's per year.

I buy the desktops with 3 year RTB warranty, I don't know what they puts on extra, but most machines either fail DOA or last for 4/5 years.

Always get my desktops with min of 3 years On-Site warranty, usually adds about £30 to the machines price, and that gives 3 years peace of mind and 3 years of nearly no work for me to do on them which is great.
