Have added Page Viewer web part in Moss 2007 site no problem inside network but was hoping to use this for home folder access from home without moving the large amounts of data actually into Sharepoint.

Anyone got a way to do this?

I've only been evaluating it for a week, but it looks good so far, installation of the web part was easy. The developer has already fixed an issue I brought to his attention.

Salamander Web part to access My Documents from anywhere is well worth the money, it also works in the same format as other sharepoint document libraries, giving smooth integration!!! thats worth the money

Users need something easy to use, or they wont use it!!

We actually purchased this but unfortunately due to the limitations that Richard kindly displays on his website, we have found it to be a little difficult to use in practice.

The downloading and uploading of files does not meet the user expectations and so we have had to remove it.

We have had several users say that they have "lost" work when it is in fact been in there "temp" folder although this may just be a training issues as we never trained the users with this particular web part.

Not sure if this has changed and I know this is something that was on SalamanderSofts list of things to do.

Thanks

Matt

We have come across the same limitations as you descrive - but staff and students still continue to use it happily. If an update was to be released that would be really beneficial especially for the odd user that doesn't follow the instructions that I have added to the webpart page.
