cwuk100 Posted May 15 Posted May 15 Hi, We are signed up with Cyber Alert and being told by RPA we need to install a server app and supplier our membership numbers, however there seems to be no server app to download or membership number.... am I missing something or has Police CyberAlert changed? Its seem very confusing Thanks for any information anyone can provide in advance.
itskdog Posted May 15 Posted May 15 PCA have just replaced their entire system. The collector has not been released yet, and installing it is optional, you just need to be signed up. We received an email from the RPA today asking to make sure we had upgraded to the new system by the end of August, and they specifically included the words "Whilst registration alone satisfies the RPA requirement" when talking about the IP and website scans that are currently available. Just make sure you have the registration certificate and digital badge - we didn't get those when we signed up and that's what you need to prove membership when making a claim. Contact the CyberAlarm support if you don't receive those, as that's the important bit. 2

If it doesn't exist, I would hope that the more tickets that PCA get about it, the more likely they'll contact the DfE about it to update the RPA's evidence requirements.

JOrdan01070 Posted May 15 Posted May 15 Part of the T&Cs As we have supplied the URN number and they share this with the DfE I think we should be ok.
fiza Posted May 15 Posted May 15 I contacted the support desk and got the following reply "Your Police CyberAlarm membership certificate and digital badge will be sent within 2–3 weeks of registration." 1
andy_b Posted May 15 Posted May 15 Email has gone to our registered RPA user from [email protected] (even though we are already registered).
5nowman Posted May 16 Posted May 16 Sorry to jump on.. what is this? our school do not have this... are we doing something wrong?

Depends on where you get your Cyber Insurance from. If your school is part of the DfE's Risk Protection Arrangement, then it's one of the 4 requirements to be eligible for cover. Otherwise, no need to fret unless your insurance requires it.
MYK-IT Posted May 18 Posted May 18 Latest RPA Newsletter states that all RPA members must register with the new Police CyberAlarm platform - which satisfies the RPA requirement.
