Hi,

I inherited the management for the iphones in school. I think we have around 15 for staff along with ipads.

One of them has been handed in and is locked to the owner but I can't work out the email address.

Its M******@ then my school

I've tried all the M's I can to recover the password on iForgot but nothign works. No one knows what it may be either.

We won't have the receipt as its a fe wyears old.

Anyone know of any tools to at least find the email or is it toast?

how far back does the AD recovery bin go  if you use that?  If you own the domain you can probably reactivate it. Check mail logs to see if anything came in

could try searching for an alias in exchangeonline  , also weird one but if you have a long running SharePoint group they were maybe a member of (seems to work with any group actually) you can see the Group0 members which is useful for deleted accounts as they never leave the  group0 list. *theschool*  *allstaff*

Are the devices managed in an MDM? If it's managed and was assigned to the MDM using Automatic Device Enrolment you should be able to bypass the activation lock.

No managed by MDM I'm afraid.

We tried marketing@ but no idea what the password is and iforget says This Apple Account is not valid or not supported

This message is wrong as it did the same with maintenance@ and we managed to get this working... we had to use another device to reset the password.  I can't trust that iforgot shows us that the email is the wrong one as it says its wrong on all the ones I tried.

My colleague spent all day trying to sort this and we are still stuck.. even got apple configursator out and recover mode to see if it will give us hints.
