What " screen are we buying teachers?

I used to buy 15.6" but have recently gone with 14" as it was a lot cheaper.

Recently we've bought a few of each to give staff the choice. From Dell at least the 14" is the same price.

I also got a quote for the same spec as the Stone spec (15.6", i5-14th gen, 512Gb, 16Gb, backlit keyboard) for £506 with 5 year next business day. All day battery life too when power setting configured to Balanced.

At the beginning of the COVID pandemic, we purchased 80 Lenovo Yoga 13 Gen 1 laptops with touch screen/pen. They have 8Gb and 128Gb M2 - they are still going strong and we've not mad many failures. The main failure has been the dying of the cmos battery which I have been replacing as they go. Oh and a few have had one of the power sockets get a bit loose - but the second USB C socket charges the laptop so a bit of tape covers the broken one.

Some newer staff have refurbed Yoga 13 Gen 2 devices with 8Gb and 256GB storage.

We've been really happy with them.

We've recently obtained laptops for staff from Deane Computer Solutions.  They get a lot Dell Outlet Stuff and their mailshots usually have some good deals on the go.  Just had one if for Dell Latitude 5250 2 in 1, i5, 16Gb, 512Gb NVMe, 3Yr On-Site, £495+VAT.  I've had Servers from them before in the past.

However, have recently got hold of some VeryPC Thinbooks 14" which seem quite decent that we have a 'pool' devices for Staff - quite nice.  Only confusing element is the power button is on the side which has caught a lot of people out!  :D
