JazzFlute Posted October 22, 2025 Posted October 22, 2025 Experiencing internet issues this morning where some sites load and some do not. its not just https sites but a mixture. Anyone else?
r0cketbev Posted October 22, 2025 Posted October 22, 2025 Yeah mine, I can't get to anything on one of my sites.
26things Posted October 22, 2025 Posted October 22, 2025 Not just you; I've got selective DNS too. Their site is down and I was seven in the queue, so I'll just sit tight and wait.
JDawgg Posted October 22, 2025 Posted October 22, 2025 I have just called them and incident overnight with some datacentre works. All my sites unable to get to Arbor - great start to the morning
JazzFlute Posted October 22, 2025 Author Posted October 22, 2025 Cant get through to support either so imagine they are inundated so hopefully when they fix it it will be fixed for everyone.
rush_tech Posted October 22, 2025 Posted October 22, 2025 Yes we are, we've been told there is a major problem at Peterborough
sigma Posted October 22, 2025 Posted October 22, 2025 Have they posted anything useful on the Hub Status Portal yet?
woody81 Posted October 22, 2025 Posted October 22, 2025 Same here, appeared to be a DNS issue so changed my forwarders to a public server and everything is working again.
JazzFlute Posted April 13 Author Posted April 13 Anyone else experiencing internet issues this morning as i am with Schools Broadband. Probably just the back to school demand and hopefully back up soon.
Frodo_Baggins Posted April 14 Posted April 14 Anyone else having issues this morning? two sites down...
JDawgg Posted April 14 Posted April 14 Currently looking into why my VOIP services aren't working. This could be why...
JazzFlute Posted April 14 Author Posted April 14 The same downtime and intermittent issues as yesterday morning. Currently number 9 in the support queue.
synaesthesia Posted April 14 Posted April 14 I am *so* looking forward to having this installed in my school later this year. Overjoyed in fact. </extremesarcasm>

I wish I had a say in the matter. I exploded when it was announced and I think the people involved are bat**** crazy for going down this road. But I'm not allowed to say that and I'll probably get in trouble for this. Zero effs given 1
JDawgg Posted April 14 Posted April 14 I think the majority of their issues come from third party services such as Netsweeper or Fortigate. Very rare the line is the issue, also very frustrating how often it is down lol

synaesthesia Posted April 14 Posted April 14 That's half the trouble, always someone else to blame. Everyone has 3rd parties to deal with, yet everyone else manages to do so without massive disruptions. Proper configurations, redundancies & failovers, staffing, communication - all things which have required improvement over the years. 1

Zero effs given Once installed just keep a log of the downtime/issues to feedback to SLT when needed as you will be pressed why the internet keeps not working and also the phones if you have VOIP. Advice is that when your internet goes down don't panic as its 99.9% not your network and always there fault. You can restart your router as many times as you want and do whatever they advice but its always there end. Support are not very good as I've just managed to talk to someone and got cut off mid converstaion. 1
synaesthesia Posted April 14 Posted April 14 Don't worry, I'm more versed in dealing with them than most people hence why I exploded 1

psydii Posted April 14 Posted April 14 (edited) I feel that there are parallels here with Bromcom. They both promise too much to too many, trip themselves up and frustrate everybody. SB and Bromcom both appeal to *me* with the flexibly and control they offer, yet here I sit on LGfL and SIMS because I need to be able to sleep at night. Edited April 14 by psydii 1
