  1. Great news for the customers moving forward
  2. I tried the guidance - for none-intune (GPO) schools the guidance is to use the intune method partially to obtain the key IDs etc. I couldn't get it working. Ended up using a script a copier company had compiled, I'm guessing because the papercut guidance isn't simple. Probably just me!
  3. Yeah join via invite email, then need to download the agent. A lot of us get stuck at that point as we don't trust staff enough to have local admin. You can bodge a script but it'd be good if it was an MSI but I guess not as easy as the installer is unique to the logged on user to sync.
  4. Anyone else seeing VB errors with MS Word? Currently having to end the task via Task Manager to get out of it. Possibly recent MS Office Update?
  5. Look into 3CX multicast paging. We have an estate of Yealink devices which allow this either natively or via 3CX. If you need any support, just drop me a pm.
  6. Ours were the same but with a Arbor move they were forced onto Timetabler - don't hear much from them these days so it must be working!
  7. I think the key thing to think about here is having multiple different options in case of an emergency. I've been part of a Martyn's Law working party and we have the below options, each differ in use case. IT services might be offline etc... NetSupport Notify 3CX - One handset presses a key and becomes a transmitter to either speak or play a pre-recorded message, all other handsets then turn into a speaker effectively needing no intervention. Tannoy/Bell System - Three rings of bell indicates Lockdown
  8. Thanks - will bare this in mind.
  9. Currently looking at moving provision away from SchoolsBroadband so this is interesting as Smoothwall would be the preferred solution.
  10. Seeing a recent thread below I'm not sure what is best for my schools lol.
  11. Speaking of moving away. Does anyone have further info on SLA/Uptime/Cancellation policy etc. Would this be customer specific? Cannot find anything on our end. Surely if service is this bad customers have the right to cancel. I can only find this https://www.schoolsbroadband.co.uk/wp-content/uploads/Terms-and-Conditions.pdf
  12. Same here - limited VOIP services and crawling speeds.
  13. Further issues this morning. Every morning this week at around the same time seem to experience service degradation so far this week. Too many teachers trying to access the registers at once!!!
  14. I think the majority of their issues come from third party services such as Netsweeper or Fortigate. Very rare the line is the issue, also very frustrating how often it is down lol
  15. Currently looking into why my VOIP services aren't working. This could be why...
  16. Yeah, I have recommended this already. Cyber Response Plan / schools emergency planning already contains contact info etc. It just needs to be a formalised process and built into procedure. Thanks again
  17. Hi all, I am currently doing a piece of work around emergency planning / Martyn's Law. The MAT want a method of communication to alert the MAT central team of one of their schools going into lockdown. For example at school level they will use NetSupport Notify to alert all staff devices on-site. There then needs to be a method of communication to alert wider colleagues. I'm currently looking an option with 3CX Call Flow Designer. Use case would be an internal emergency extension is dialled which then calls all users in a defined group and plays a custom message. Has anyone looked into this? It would be good if Notify has a cloud offering but with it needing to be connected to the server at the site, remote users aren't going to be notified. Thanks in advance
  18. Hey, Just kicking this back up to see what people are doing. My current process which I'm happy to do is creating an eDiscovery case and exporting. This then outputs an items.zip for the SharePoint content and I prefer a singular PST for the Outlook export. The next process seems very clunky. I'm having to open the Outlook PST in local Outlook and sort through the data. Top of information store folder seems to then filter down into other folders. This looks to be folders people have created to section email data, so any emails that hit my search criteria I then seem to get a random assortment of email folders from people. Currently just manually moving them all to the inbox folder. Anyone know of any third party tools that I can offer to customers that'll do the heavy lifting. For my internal HR, I'll need to send them the PST and how to open it. I expect they would then like to export the emails maybe as PDFs to send to the SAR request. It would be great if there was a tool that had a API into the tenancy, you'd populate the search term and it would output in a much friendlier format/interface. Cheers all
  19. Great idea on having the one virtual queue, I think I'll take that onboard.
  20. Hey all, Thought I'd kick up this thread as I've got a decision to make on Hive vs MF. Use case - MAT of 6 schools - 2 upper and 4 primary. Primary schools will be used for basic authentication and print reports etc. Not wanting to do anything fancy with it. Does Hive have the possibility to introduce account charging / accounting? To users and/or groups? Upper schools I might want delegated print access on a few users but again not looking to change much from the current setup which is basic. I think with Hive I've been told it is possible to have cross-site printing? Which would be better for us to not have janky intune/GPO policies. Is it possible to have all sites on one hive tenancy? Has anyone moved to Hive and noticed severe limitations? Thanks!
  21. Within the last year in Edu we paid; £365 for the licence £120 for MIS Integration Then we bought the mount and SignInApp Tap etc but that'll be priced same no doubt. Thanks!
  22. If you go on there website they have clear discounts from Enterprise and Education.
  23. Because we need separate grouping due to having a lot of staff, rather than one generic 'staff' list.
