Seanc Posted October 9, 2025 Posted October 9, 2025 Has anyone else experienced PowerPoint presenting issues (it's one job) after 25h2 We are seeing staff when using Presenter view not get the expected output on 2nd screen Smartboards or Projectors and having to go to dulipcate. If, whilst presenting, you use the options to switch screens it corrects. Only notice issue this week Tues 07/10/25 , suspicious.... Sean
IRL Posted October 9, 2025 Posted October 9, 2025 We have found this has started this week. PowerPoint 365 2502 (18526.20604). I've told teachers to use extended mode for now and switch back to duplicate when not using PowerPoint.
Reverend_Dan Posted October 10, 2025 Posted October 10, 2025 We have found if you set it to primary monitor instead of automatic(if your on duplicate) it works as duplicate. If your using presenter view then selecting the other screen as your primary monitor fix it and show the presenter view on your actual primary 1
Dobby Posted October 10, 2025 Posted October 10, 2025 I've had that issue this week, same solution as others suggested. Causing a bit of a headache
Seanc Posted October 10, 2025 Author Posted October 10, 2025 Hello all, This seems to do the trick, credit Helen W at https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/answers/questions/5579683/powerpoint-presenter-view-not-showing-on-extended Not a quick fix though. An automated rip-off and re-install of office. Might be useful for your more persistent staff. Thank you Helen.... I've managed to fix it by rolling back to the previous update using the below in an elevated command prompt: cd "c:\Program Files\Common Files\microsoft shared\ClickToRun" - hit enter officec2rclient.exe /update user updatetoversion=16.0.19127.20240 - hit enter This will popup an Office update box - let that run and once completed it should show the previous version in Word etc Then disable office updates until Microsoft releases a fix
IRL Posted October 17, 2025 Posted October 17, 2025 This has now been fixed if you update to the latest version of O365.
Seanc Posted October 17, 2025 Author Posted October 17, 2025 Mornign IRL, you're right noticed this late yesterday Thank you.
