Classroom Cloud - Image Analysis

If anyone is tempted to get the new image analysis addon - don't.

 

It isn't fit for purpose and generates hundreds of false positives.

Ouch!  I'm on the launch demo tomorrow so that is interesting to hear.  What kind of thing is it finding that is flagging?

It's quite resource hungry as well. It's giving our already slow laptops a battering.

Loads of things.  It has a real thing for the Gruffalo, Pandas, Trees and Fish.

 

Some of the things sorta make sense with a bit of imagination, but most don't.

 

It literally screenshoted most of a Teams call one day.

Yeah, I haven't tried turning off "High Performance Mode" as we have left the default settings enabled for support.

Since I made this topic there have been 8 false positives in a relatively small school.

 

For example attached is something captured as "Radicalisation":

What product are you talking about?
If it's Smoothwall Cloud Scan, there's nothing in the client itself that could slow them down, right?

Sorry I thought it was about Image Analysis on pictures that students put in Google Classroom Cloud..
