andy_b Posted April 1, 2025 Posted April 1, 2025 If anyone is tempted to get the new image analysis addon - don't. It isn't fit for purpose and generates hundreds of false positives. 1
TechMonkey Posted April 1, 2025 Posted April 1, 2025 Ouch! I'm on the launch demo tomorrow so that is interesting to hear. What kind of thing is it finding that is flagging?
IRL Posted April 1, 2025 Posted April 1, 2025 It's quite resource hungry as well. It's giving our already slow laptops a battering.

What kind of thing is it finding that is flagging? Loads of things. It has a real thing for the Gruffalo, Pandas, Trees and Fish. Some of the things sorta make sense with a bit of imagination, but most don't. It literally screenshoted most of a Teams call one day. Edited April 1, 2025 by andy_b

Joeloman Posted April 1, 2025 Posted April 1, 2025 What product are you talking about? If it's Smoothwall Cloud Scan, there's nothing in the client itself that could slow them down, right?
Joeloman Posted April 2, 2025 Posted April 2, 2025 Sorry I thought it was about Image Analysis on pictures that students put in Google Classroom Cloud.. Which Smoothwall can now check with its Cloud Scan https://smoothwall.com/solutions/cloud-scan I didn't know that Netsupport named the app classroom.cloud https://classroom.cloud 1
TechMonkey Posted April 2, 2025 Posted April 2, 2025 Ohh I was confused as well, thought you were talking about the Smoothwall one. Glad it isn't that one that is poop, though I was impressed you had it early!
