Anything but TeamSOS their Intune install process is a mess.

I've looked at several products but really struggling to find a solution that supports InTune without requiring a server and client. Most appear to need a server program too with the fix generally being to spin up a virtual machine in Azure to run it....

We have a couple of bodet harmonys boxes (SLT offices) that links to our bells.  Start and finish "melody" on the bells.

Why can't you run a server locally?

Because where possible we are trying to go 100% without the need for a local server - especially in the primaries.

How odd, surely a couple of small desktops running in the rack on a failover system can do what you need, no need to pay £5k for a giant server

For 47 schools, the number of small desktops required will soon add up - plus powering them and backing them up etc.

There’s a system being developed by GroupEd that will be out soon. Cloud based - it has messaging, mobile app, and windows app. Might be worth messaging them. grouped.org.uk

Whilst I'm old fashioned and believe that 100% cloud is *insane* even now, I would expect any modern solutions to be able to cater for that scenario - even if it is a provision of something small on site. For example, cloud phone systems nearly all have a session controller or something on site whether it's a server, master phone or something as unobtrusive as a Pi. I do however believe that in the cases of emergencies, there should absolutely be no internet reliance IMHO. Would anyone trust a fire alarm with no controller or triggers on site?

TOA Voice evacuation systems are notoriously offline for this reason 🙂
