All-in-one Video conferencing system

Has anyone deployed an all-in-one videoconferencing system like the A40 Yealink, Logi Rally Bar, or Poly Studio X30?

 

I am inclined to like the look of the feature on the Yealink A40.

 

I would like casting support and a Microphone and speakers built in.

My wife has the Yealink A40 at her place and literally nobody uses it. They all turn up and just use their laptops and say it's too complicated, I wouldn't waste money on it.

We have two Logitech Rallybars, and they are fantastic pieces of equipment. The scheduler screen outside the room has been a big hit with its calendar integration, allowing people to see who has booked the room and if it's available.

 

We chose the Rallybar to enhance the camera and audio quality of our "important" meetings, and it has been a great success. While it's not used every day, when we have a room full of board members, it's a godsend to have a high-quality, reliable system that also looks impressive. In my opinion, it's worth the investment, but your mileage may vary.

 

Note these are MS Teams meeting rooms, not sure on your chosen platform.

How do you control the Logi Rallybar do you have a tablet or a remote? I am used to having a tablet in meeting rooms? Also, does it support casting and sharing what about BYOD if you want to Google Meet from your laptop?

Logi Rally all the way. We have several of the standard bars and 2 of the RallyPlus setups. They consistently just work. We use them with Teams.

Plugged into a windows box VIA USB, but laptops can detect the Rally setup via Bluetooth and use the device as an "Room Audio" appliance when starting the meeting.

We use a Tap IP https://www.logitech.com/en-us/products/video-conferencing/room-solutions/tap-ip.952-000085.html super easy then user walks in and presses the join button. We also have Teams telephony so the room also has a direct dial for old school teleconferencing as needed. Get this, dont bother with the remote!

 

BYOD is a simple case of plugging in the HDMI and USB, screen is instantly shared and the camera becomes a plug and play USB webcam including sound and speakers.

 

Note Teams does support basic Zoom and WebEx meeting so if you send the calendar invite into the room you can join those meetings without BYOD/platform switching, not sure about Google meet having checked recently.

In the end, we got the Yealink 40 with a tablet. A USB-C connection from a tablet is used to support BYOD and screen sharing. The tablet connects with a network cable between the tablet and the meeting bar.
