Paxton Net2 Door stuck permanently in an unlocked state

As title. We've just had this installed but I've been left to sort the software side of it out and I've no idea how to sort this out as nothing I do seems to change anything.

 

The readers are permanently flashing with a green LED and under "Open Door" on the toolbar, door shows as "Unlocked" highlighted in red but trying to "close" door under this menu is ignored.

 

I've contacted Paxton who sent me a troubleshooting guide but this also hasn't made any difference. I tried "Reinstate" on the ACU as was suggested by @mavhc earlier but this is no longer taking effect and the readers just go straight to the green flashing LED.

 

Please help as I'm trying to sort this out with a door which is in constant active use?

Is the door configured to be open 'All Day, every day'

Under the Timezones on the left you can define custom timezones* during which time either certain doors are held open, or certain users can utilise their cards. The defaults are AllDayEveryDay, AtNoTime and WorkingHours.

 

(*nothing to do with which country/timezone you are in)

 

We have StaffHours, CleanerHours, SixthFormHours, StudentHours, MainBarrierOpen, BusBarrierOpen, FrontGateOpen, SideGateOpen, VehicleGateOpen.... etc etc

ps the "Open door" button on a given door only opens it temporarily, for that doors "Door open time".

 

The menu button at the top allows you (for any door/doors/groups) to temporarily open, hold open indefinitely, hold open for x minutes, or close.

Another gotcha is the "Emergency Break button" thingy. If pressed, it unlocks the door as you'd expect, but it really doesn't show that well locally that it has been pressed. Should show a yellow line at the top, but if you are looking down at it, it is all but invisible. Took a fair bit of finding...

I feel your pain on these - we have been getting our installer to replace with something akin to these - ACP350 - Triple Pole Emergency Call Point with Dual Light and Buzzer, NO/NC, Green

 

They flash red when "broken" - costs around £20.00 per unit and only takes 10 minutes tops in most cases to swap over.

Echo those break glasses when we moved office we had them fitted to make it super quick to know if a door had been pinged by someone you can't miss the red flashy lights.

You can also do it with triggers. We have a couple of "special" cards that when presented to a reader will run a trigger that will hold a "door" open (you can also do it with a double tap of a specific token but perhaps that is more risky).

 

Useful for the site staff to hold gates open for parents evenings etc..
