So how would you install windows xp on a mac pro that has 2 quad core cpu's ?

Or what do they mean ?

Must be missing something...

no idea - hence why i asked the question. Was curious to find out if they are counting the physical processors ie there are only 2 actual cpu's and ignoring the amount of cores per actual cpu or if the cores actually count ?

with the new cpu's coming out ie the dual cores, quad cores etc how come ms have not altered it ( unless I have missed it in the documenation ) ?

Bit of a grey area without anything to say otherwise ?

Thats true with regards to ammending a eula for a product they are with drawing.

I'm still not convinced by vista at least not yet, I mean why would someone fork out all that money for the hardware just to be able to run vista and thats without paying for the licensing of vista. Must be missing the point.

If you are running vista then what is it like to run games or anything else?

Who knows, maybe it's been updated with XP SP3?

The strange thing, is if you open Task Manager > Processes tab. Right click any process and choose Set Affinity. On my computer CPU 0 and CPU 1 are ticked and enabled, but it goes all the way upto 31.
