Arthur Posted March 19, 2024 Posted March 19, 2024 In an age of light, a darkness rises. On 4 June 2024, don’t miss the two-episode premiere of The Acolyte, a Star Wars Original series, only on Disney+. 1
DeGrimmy Posted June 20, 2024 Posted June 20, 2024 We're 4 episodes in now and it feels like we're finally getting to a good point. I know the wider Star Wars fanbase are a little upset about the show so far, but I think it's all up from here!

I have enjoyed them thus far, just wish they would have 'gotten going' a teensy bit quicker. And I started ignoring the wider fanbase a LONG time ago (in a galaxy very close to home!) due to the levels of toxic behaviour and/or gatekeeping on display. 1
DeGrimmy Posted June 27, 2024 Posted June 27, 2024 Oh yes, Episode 5 was what I was waiting for! I need to watch it again! 1

I felt like the story was just getting somewhere!
ITGuyNW Posted August 20, 2024 Posted August 20, 2024 I thought it was awful and Disney need to completely rethink how they produce these shows. 1
PotNoodleTech Posted August 20, 2024 Posted August 20, 2024 If there's lightsabers in it I tend to enjoy it. That being said there's plenty to critisise if I wanted to but who really cares disney gonna do what disney wants weather you have a rant on a forum or not. I am looking forward to more andor and more mandalorinan spinoffs. 2
Davit2005 Posted August 21, 2024 Posted August 21, 2024 (edited) They seem to ruin everything they do these days. Lets hope that Disney never get their hands on Airplane and ruin that too. Edited August 21, 2024 by Davit2005
Norphy Posted August 21, 2024 Posted August 21, 2024 They seem to ruin everything they do these days. Lets hope that Disney never get their hands on Airplane and ruin that too. I've got to disagree with that. A lot of the Star Wars content that's been produced for Disney+ has been at least above average or excellent. Andor was fantastic Mandalorian was mostly good, although the third season wasn't as good as the others. Ahsoka was very, very good. I enjoyed Obi Wan Boba Fett could have been better but it had a lot of good moments. I've not seen Acolyte, admittedly. The stuff based on Clone Wars was good too. The Sequel Trilogy... yeah, that was pretty bad, the last one especially. I think JJ had a lot to do with that, he really threw the baby out with the bath water after The Last Jedi. His Star Trek films weren't the best either. I also think that Marvel has just been overexposed. It was good to begin with, but the relentless treadmill pushing out production after production... it's exhausted everyone from the writers to the actors to the audience. They need to give it a break. Other stuff, like Only Murders in the Building, also fantastic. 1
