Hi all,

We are looking to move to Sharepoint from our current on site file server, looking for recommendations for companies who can assist us through this process.

Thanks,

Hey T,

My name is Jay, and as an experienced IT engineer at an MSP with a background in supporting primary schools, I understand the critical nature of transitions like moving to SharePoint.

Our team specializes in facilitating such migrations, ensuring a smooth and secure process tailored to your specific requirements.

I would welcome the opportunity to discuss your needs further and provide a comprehensive solution for a successful transition.

We did this internally when we did the move a few years back. Doing it this way allowed us to work with staff and determine what data was actually needed and what was no longer in use. Anything not in use was archived to offline storage and anything still needed was moved across. This approach allowed us to move each department's data over one at a time into the custom subsites we created for the departments and apply very specific permissions.

It wasn't a difficult process but it took a few months to work with the departments to determine what they actually needed rather than a blanket answer of everything needed to be transferred, once that was done it was fairly straight forward.

We used a company called Burconix to help with the migration to SharePoint and make it as seamless as possible for Teachers and Students

We're also going to be going with Burconix following some preliminary work and pondering. Very knowledgeable and helpful folks. Variety of offerings and as little/as much DIY as you want, not pricey at all (for both the Cloud Connect licenses and any assistance.) Ideal really.
