speckledegg Posted September 7, 2023 Posted September 7, 2023 Afternoon All, Hope everyone is managing to keep cool in the heatwave! Not sure if I've posted this in the right place....for people who use 3CX in their schools where its hosted by them in the cloud, do you have a preferred SIP trunk provider you use and any that offer any good calling deals etc? I currently look after a couple of primary schools (3 form and 2 form entry) who I'm looking to move off archaic phone systems and to take the support of the phone systems in-house to break away from phone providers and so we have full control over everything. We're currently running a test 3CX cloud instance in school with a few phones attached to trial it and I wanted to go one step further and also test the landline functionality too. I've discovered you can only use 3CX's preferred SIP trunk providers on the cloud version and cant go rogue with generic ones as you can on the self-hosted set up which is a shame. Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated!
Tys Posted September 7, 2023 Posted September 7, 2023 Webmate. I use them personally for my own home 3CX instance, have done for many years and also use them professionally (especially at my old job where we had several very large phone systems relying on their trunks - I actually recommended them there in the first place, heavily based on my personal experience at the time - absolutely no regrets). Pricing is around £7/mo per channel (they charge based on simultaneous call count) with unlimited calls to uk landline & mobile. No rolling charge for DDIs (just setup cost). They also do an offering where they host the 3cx phone system for you too, so that way they are responsible for the whole solution, but still let you have full admin control and will help you as little or as much as you need. Been an absolute no-brainer and rock solid in my experience, and that's the way I'd recommend going if you have the choice. Support seems to be a smallish UK team too and they have been fantastic every time I have needed help with something.
mullet_man Posted September 7, 2023 Posted September 7, 2023 We use Yellowgrid. Very happy with them.Same here, no issues since making the move to 3cx 2 years ago.
MatthewL Posted September 7, 2023 Posted September 7, 2023 I use Andrews & Arnold at home on mine, not on their supported list but costs me £1.44 a month for the number plus any calls. Cost me more than I've paid in monthly fees to import the number from Vonage as I wanted to keep it. Got my Dad's BT line to do the same with at some point. Cannot fault them though.
HereIGoAgain2601 Posted September 7, 2023 Posted September 7, 2023 We use Fuse 2 communications SIP trunks and they host the 3CX for us so get that added bit of extra help the odd time something does go wrong or we don’t know how to do something more advanced. Very happy with the cost, service and support.
localzuk Posted September 8, 2023 Posted September 8, 2023 We use Gamma. Very reliable and cost effective.
