We are looking for an IT Manager with strong experience working within a school environment! This role is an excellent opportunity to take the next step in your career and grow as an individual. Our client is a leading independent school in the Richmond area, and they are offering a salary of up to £50,000 plus excellent benefits!

Role Overview

As the IT Manager, you will lead the development and implementation of the school's digital strategy, ensuring efficient management and integrity of IT networks, cybersecurity, and applications. You will collaborate with staff and teachers to enhance technology integration in the classroom, maintain strong relationships with external service providers, and ensure compliance with IT policies and licensing requirements while safeguarding the school's technology assets.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement a comprehensive digital strategy for the entire school.
  
• Manage and maintain the school's IT networks, infrastructure, cybersecurity, and application portfolio.
  
• Provide direction and supervision to network and data staff to ensure smooth day-to-day operations.
  
• Support the School's Data Protection Officer, reporting any data breaches or equipment/software misuse.
  
• Lead and oversee specific IT projects as required.
  
• Establish and maintain efficient critical incident contingencies and data backup systems.
  
• Utilise specialised IT skills and experience to support staff and students in maximising their working and learning environments.
  
• Collaborate with academic and administrative leaders to ensure IT support for excellent teaching and learning.
  
• Work with teachers in Computer Science, STEM, and other subjects to enhance technology integration in the classroom.
  
• Foster and maintain strong relationships with external service providers, ensuring effective collaboration and support.
  

Essential Qualifications and Experience:

• Experience working in a similar IT / Network Manager role in a school environment.
  
• Relevant degree or equivalent qualification.
  
• Impeccable ICT knowledge and skills.
  
• A strong IT technical background including expert understanding and hands-on management of IT networks (servers, switches, firewalls, Wi-Fi, IP Addressing, etc. cybersecurity, hardware and software)
  
• Understanding of audio-visual systems.
  
• Impeccable written and verbal communication skills.
  
• Extensive Microsoft 365 experience.
