Hello

Just wondering if anyone could help?

I'm trying to tidy our Sims up and delete unlinked persons but when I select them in the list and click Delete, it doesn't work and they show back up when I do another search.

Does anyone know how I can delete them? Or is there a known issue?

Thanks

Just a note to say I set a 'delete' going on Friday after your post and it worked correctly; the deleted person is no longer showing up on Delete Unlinked Persons having come out and gone back in.

I've deleted ours, logged out, logged back in, checked again and they are all still appearing. Not sure why they won't delete. Someone else has tried it too and the same happens for them.

Apologies at the outset that this isn't more useful, but I can confirm it's definitely not a known issue as I've been working through our SIMS deleting ex-students (some of whom are who are now in their 40s (!)) and then the unlinked persons that result from said deletions. All of which have gone through without any issues I'm afraid.

Sorry!

When did you last successfully run the "delete unlinked persons" routine?

Have you run the "delete unlinked contacts" routine first?

If you select one person and try to delete them, do you get a message in the bottom left of the SIMS window?

My suggestions would be:

Run database diagnostics (Tools > System Diagnostics > Database Diagnostics) and check the results - see if anything got applied / fixed.

Open a ticket with ESS and describe what's happening. There are generic SQL patches available for "can't deleted unlinked persons" and "can't delete unlinked contacts" that can check for and fix common problems.
