Replacing On-Prem Sophos

Currently looking into replacing our on-premise instance of Sophos as they're discontinuing it in a couple of months.

 

We use it for:

 

Anti-virus and malware protection

Web filtering

Application control

Device control

 

I can't find anything else that does all of that in one console like Sophos does. Should we just migrate to the cloud version?

 

We could fragment those roles with other software, but I like how it's all manageable with one client at the moment, which installs automatically and reliably. What does everyone else do?

We migrated years ago when their cloud offering came out - no issues.

We use Defender. Control from Intune.

I didn't know on premise was still a thing with Sophos, we have been Cloud for ages, have no issues with it what so ever.

Is it a straight forward process to migrate from on prem to cloud? Any tutorials available?

We moved from onprem Sophos to Sophos Cloud a few years ago.

 

It can be hit and miss but most the time it's hit and it does the job and to be fair it sits in the background doing what it should.

We're migrating everything over from G Suite to O365 in the Summer. Does Defender do everything I've mentioned above?

Defender covers anti-virus and Malware. Intune covers application and device control. There is web filtering in Defender but I have no experience with it.

Migration from Enterprise console to Sophos Central is pretty simple- if you're not happy doing it yourself, is your current Sophos supplier not able to assist?
