Smoothwall blocking BBC News?

https://www.bbc.co.uk/news is suddenly getting blocked this morning by Smoothwall as "Body piercing and Tattoos"

 

Could someone check if their Smoothwall is doing the same or is it just us?

Main page opening here OK with on-prem Smoothwall.

Blocked on my student account, but ok on my Teacher account.

We're in Oxfordshire in case there's a regional variation and we use on prem smoothwall(s)

There is news item on their main page about the Welsh government introducing stricter rules for tattoo parlours.

Least we know the filtering works as intended ?!

Ok, am I going crazy here or what? I raised a ticket with Smoothwall about this bbc news issue. Just had an email back from a "Triage Engineer" to say;

 

I understand you have some questions regarding BBC News Blocked .

 

When I tried to check the Real time Web Filter it is showing blocked ,

. Apparently because "Body Piercing and Tattoo" comes under Core Blocked Content he then said;

 

I tried to edit the policy for the core blocked content and change from block to Do not Filter , I would request you to check it again and respond with your findings .

 

Surely Core Blocked Content should always be blocked or am i misunderstanding??

 

I quickly changed Core Blocked Content back to Always Block!

Do Not Filter: This combines the function of the Allow action but also removes HTTPS Inspection from the content and any relevant Content Modifications. This is used where content is deemed safe to access entirely unfiltered.
