  1. Cundall Manor School, one of the North’s leading co-educational independent schools is seeking to recruit an IT Manager to develop and deliver a high-quality service provision of a wide range of technology both inside and outside the classroom. The successful candidate should be able to demonstrate efficient and effective operation and planning of IT infrastructure whilst providing hands-on IT support to staff and pupils across the school. You will have the ability to shape the IT strategy, manage, develop, and implement new tools, hardware, and software across the site, manage and control the IT budget, develop the skills of support staff, and provide cutting-edge business support. Our current IT Manager plays an active role in decision-making at a senior level. Cundall Manor School is an equal opportunities employer and is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children. Applicants must therefore be willing to undergo child protection screening appropriate to the post, including checks with past employers and the DBS. Full details including how to apply are on the TES website: - https://www.tes.com/jobs/vacancy/-1947648
  2. Yeah, checked that as mentioned before - can see the current knocks.
  3. Alright Tom - I need to wait til the next one comes in to have a look again. I think it's the usual privacy error you get when a cert is missing. On the cloud filter, do the chromebooks need a locally installed cert? Or will do they work differently as it has the app installed?
  4. Nothings changed at all in terms of firewall or network setup though. And the diagnostics from the users shows the last secret knock being whenever I run it. "lastSecretKnockDetails": "Fri Sep 29 2023 09:49:02 GMT+0100 (British Summer Time) Success",
  5. Struggling to get anywhere with Smoothwall support, no responses. We have some chromebooks, using the cloud filter - had no issue previously. They run the smoothwall app. We are getting privacy errors, the type you would expect when no cert is installed - the only thing that changed is in the summer the dynamic part of the cert expired, so we have to take it off, and put it back on. But was advised the cert doesn't need reissuing. PCs have been fine, still using the old cert. To be honest, I didn't set up the chromebook cloud filter, but as far as I can see - the cert isn't issued anyway, I assume because it works via the app to filter? I dunno.
  6. Has anyone got replit working behind a smoothwall? Something is blocking it from creating repls, but due to the lack of logs in Smoothwall, no idea what! Allowed a bunch of things to try and troubleshoot, but still nothing.
  7. I have the solution for this. Create a new root ca. Set the new one as default. Set the old as default - this will renew the dynamic certs. Delete the new root CA as it's no longer needed.
  8. Do I even need to bother if the Root CA isn't actually expiring? Will the dynamic ones renew themselves?
  9. Hi there, I am getting this message on the Smoothwall at this site: - The Guardian CA certificate will expire in 24 days. Click the button below to find out how to regenerate the certificate The show me how to guide, basically, just says do it. So, anyway, I can create a New Root CA, although the Root CA hasn't expired? Then I can download it, and push it out via GPO, and Workspace. How do I generate the ones labelled as Dynamic? Or do they self generate and that's why they are dynamic?
  10. Well, I fixed it, or, should I say - its fixed. Did all the usual rebooting, checked that the IP of the Unify was an exception, it all was - made no changes recently. But I added voiceflex.com as a category, then set it to not inspect/filter and it then registered. However, that shouldn't matter - so not sure if they fixed something in the background. EDIT - Was actually an issue with voiceflex! Wrong SIP address.
  11. Yesterday we had to power down the comms cab, and since then, the Unify phone system doesn't seem to be able to contact Voiceflex to register the SIP. Any ideas? Everything else is fine, and in the Unify the remote access section is green which should mean it can see the internet.
  12. It seems to block this thread every so often for me too now, haha.
  13. Same here actually, was just coming to see if anyone else had noticed! CategoryBody piercing and Tattoos, News, Safe Content Filetypes, Web ContentReasonContent of type Body piercing and Tattoos ( Content filtering ) blocked.URLhttps://www.bbc.co.uk/news
  14. Wow, thats a huge team for a school of that size, sounds good!
  15. Where was this set? Just taken over a Smoothwall that I didn't install or setup.
