Hello,

I was wondering if anyone had any recommendations for an alternative to TeamViewer please?

With the recent change of making managed devices mandatory, our cost has doubled now which seems rather a lot.

We have a mix of Desktops, Laptops, Surfaces, Chromebooks and mobiles.

Thanks

Depending on what you are using Team Viewer for already.

UltraViewer (free) is a good replacement for Unattended access - requires application installation.

Zoho Assist which is free (there is a paid for version) which we use to assist external staff - it's web based too.

I have previously used Quick Assist - which has always done the job.

Likewise, I can vouch for Screen Connect & UltraViewer as pretty solid and reliable alternatives.

Splashtop Business/SOS i've found good a setup for accessing devices, cheaper than TeamViewer. I switched to them when Logmein started getting pricey. Did look at Quickassist, but never found it very quick as the client either needed updating or installing and talking people through it..

Thanks everyone.

Still looking around at different products.

We currently have TeamViewer setup for unattended access, as we install the host client on all devices, this allows us access to the device without the end user having to give us a session ID and such.

The Remote Help via Intune is kind of hit and miss we found in our tests. Microsoft also have TeamViewer now added into InTune for the preferred remote access but this only works by asking the end user to provide you with a session ID.

Rustdesk looks nice but the server only works on Linux, which is a shame.

UltraViewer I looked at but I couldn't find any way to setup unattended access and with over 2k devices, their pricing seems odd.

I'm looking at Screen Connect currently so will see how that goes.

If anyone else has any suggestions, please let me know.

Can I ask if you also have any network management software such as NetSupport, LanSchool or Impero in use, as they can provide that kind of functionality.

I can guess not by the fact you have to ask for a dedicated app, but had to ask.

DWservice has been fantastic for me, it’s not quite ‘enterprise ready’ but works brilliantly, you have to raise a ticket it you want to auto install it and it costs peanuts.
