  1. Hello, I wanted to ask how other organisations handle the deletion of old classroom teams please. Currently we do not delete them because of our O365 retention policy protecting the SharePoint site and mailbox of the team. I've been trying to find a way to automate this but have not had much success with excluding the individual teams from the retention policy. If anyone has any tips, please share them. Many thanks
  2. Thank you everyone. Its actually both internally and externally as we cater for both now. It's just that TeamViewer is costing a small fortune for about 2500 devices.
  3. Hello, We currently use TeamViewer across the network but I've been asked to look for alternatives to save some money. One of the biggest features we use is the unattended access with TeamViewer. Can anyone recommend any alternatives please? Many thanks
  4. I've not checked lately, but does A1 keep their OneDrive storage? When accounts get archived, do you just disable the account or do more things?
  5. Thanks for sharing that info. We have Barracuda too, but it's not been that great so management is moving to another provider. Do you still have access to A1 licenses? We were told to that Microsoft is taking them away, so we've stayed away from using the A1 licenses.
  6. Hello, I wanted to ask how others manage the life cycle of student accounts within AD/O365/Entra please? For example, when do you archive the student accounts, how do you archive them and what do you do with their OneDrive and Email in O365 please. We are currently in the process of changing our backup solutions and most companies we have in contact with always want to backup all of our Entra accounts, which is a huge list which then affects the cost of the backup solution. So I'm trying to find out how other places tackle this please. Many thanks
  7. We've been using Intune in Shared PC mode since September. Has been a bumpy ride, but most of our policies are based on the Open Intune Baseline ones. OneDrive works on all devices fine all though I can't find a way of stopping this on exam accounts Our devices have no primary user set and Office is working fine too. We use M365 for staff and Office LTSC for students (for now). I can't remember the exact term User-driven or Self-deploy we have, but it's the mode with no interaction by anyone.
  8. Thanks everyone. I forgot to mention that we also use Atlassian's Jira Service Management for our helpdesk system which has the integration with Lansweeper, but I don't think Lansweeper is designed to be an Asset management. Curious if anyone else has any experience with using Jira Service Management and then trying to do something similar please?
  9. Hello, Apologise if this is not the correct area to post this in. I wanted to ask what other organisations use for an Asset Management system please. We have Lansweeper installed for a long time which my colleagues have been using for this, but it was never designed to be an asset management system. If anyone has any experience or knowledge they could share with this please, that would be lovely. Many thanks
  10. Thanks. Why would you not use this please? I've mentioned this to my colleagues today and their googling suggests that Cisco Umbrella is allowed.
  11. Hello, Oh, I didn't know that. Do you happen to have a link I can see this on please so I can let me colleagues know? Thanks
  12. Hello, Currently we have scripts deployed via an Intune app that then gets run as a scheduled task on logon. The scripts I had to rewrite quite a bit to make them compatible with PowerShell constraint mode as we haven't got round to fixing the internal script signing certificate. Seems to work ok, just be careful when you create scheduled tasks and have laptops as by default they don't run when not on AC power. Thanks
  13. Hello everyone, I hope someone may be able to shed some light please. We are using Cisco Umbrella for our Internet filtering and such, but since moving to Intune and Entra ID only, it seems there is some issues going on in terms of very slow apps showing up in Company Portal and policies coming down to devices (even after multiple restarts). I was recommended to use the Intune Network Requirements powershell script to check for any issues (Ref: https://github.com/MHimken/IntuneNetworkRequirements) and that has flagged a few issues up with Windows Notification Service. I'm currently trying to find the correct place where I could white list or trust the various URLs from Microsoft/Intune within Umbrella but wanted to ask if anyone else has come across this please? Any tips would be appreciated please Many thanks, Philip
  14. Not exactly why apart from that it doesn't give them the flexibility and such.
  15. I've been told MS Forms doesnt quite do the job.
  16. Hello, Does anyone have any recommendations for a Survey software please? We currently use Curriculum Surveyor, but this software doesn't work with our new environment as we are Entra ID only now. The survey software needs to be able to work with Entra ID users please. Many thanks
  17. Thanks everyone. Much appreciated. We don't have GPO anymore as we chose to go with Entra only. I'll have a look at how to achieve this with Intune, unless anyone has any hints and tips please? Currently I've managed to get some of the scripts to work in constraint mode, thanks to lots of googling and ChatGPT lol
  18. Hello, I'd like to ask how other organisations control / secure their end user devices when it comes to running PowerShell scripts within the user-context please. With our new Win11 environment, we have AppLocker deployed via Intune and this puts running PowerShell scripts into language constraint mode. Doing this has caused us a lot of headaches with trying to make scripts work for exam software as they are still not working with Windows 11 Entra Only and Intune. Could I ask how others are handling this please? Many thanks
  19. I thought Microsoft brought out the teams bootstrapper as a replacement for the machine wide installer? We tried the machine wide installer a while back but found that this gets outdated fairly fast and then this needs constant monitoring too.
  20. To do what please? Do you mean to run the bootstrapper.exe as the user?
  21. Thanks. Not sure if we can use login scripts tbh with our new setup but will have a look. I've tried to use the bootstrapped with option -p running as system as an intune app deployment but it only seems to install the teams client for the current logged in user. When that user logs off and another user logs in, no teams client is found. When I check for the provisioned APPX package, that comes back with nothing too. Rather odd tbh.
  22. Hello, How do other organisations deploy the MS Teams app onto their devices please? On Windows 10 I've used the Teamsbootstrapper.exe installation method which worked fine. But on Windows 11, this seems to only install Teams for the current user and when that user logs off and another user logs on, they do not have any MS Teams available. When I've checked for AppX package, nothing is found and when I check for AppX Provisioning Package, that's gone too. Is there a trick I am missing please? Many thanks
  23. May I ask please how you have achieved this please?
  24. Hello, Does anyone else might have any ideas please? If anything I have mentioned is confusing, please let me know. Thank you
  25. Thank you for responding. Do your users not have to MFA when they try and access Company Portal and apps like OneDrive, Office? We have our devices setup as shared devices too, but when they log into the device with username/password, then when it comes to loading Company Portal, and also doing a manual sync, they get asked to MFA.
