Hi all, just a pre-advert for the Network Managers job at Hutton grammar school.

Due to a series of unfortunate events, the school will be without a NM from the 1st of September and needs to appoint a new NM as soon as possible.

The role will suit someone who is able to hit-the-ground-running; perhaps someone who is already an established IT tech and is looking to progress, or someone already established in a similar position looking for a change.

I will be posting the official advert and spec shortly, but in the meantime I can field any questions.

Thanks,

Brian.

Hi, I got sent the job spec today and the pay grade. I haven’t actually got a job advert as such yet though, the wheels are turning surprisingly slowly.

It’s a fairly generic spec but I can summarise it as a standard network managers job.

Anyhow, I’ve attached the job spec and the salary is Grade 7, so is between £25927 and £30095 depending on experience.

I’m happy to field any questions and will post the actual advert with application dates etc as soon as I get it.

Any movement on the salary? I'm just down the road in Southport with years of IT management, but that salary isn't great. I suppose it would be ok for a tech moving into their first NM post. But an extra £5k would get them some top notch candidates.

I honestly don't know how much movement the school will have with the salary range they have selected. I can't speak for the school as I no longer work there and have just agreed to get the word out about the position as favor.

It will be a big job for someone as there is a lot to do there, I would like to think that there will be flexibility in the pay for the right applicant but like I say I don't have any sway or knowledge of that.

Here are the best contact addresses for the school

[email protected] (dept head)

[email protected]

They are the best people to contact for anyone interested and the advert will appear: https://www.huttongrammar.org/vacancies/

Good luck to all who apply.
