Hi all,

I have been asked to price up 16 PCs that will run Adobe CC, especially Premiere Pro and Photoshop.

I have looked at the specs on the Adobe website and ok with the CPU, RAM etc. But just looking at the GPU. Do people find certain integrated GPUs enough, or have they had to go with a more high powered GPU?

There will be no 4K stuff only HD at most. I haven't been given a budget either, just asked to price up.

Thanks

Ours were i5 8gb, ran into issues. Since upping ram to 16gb no issues.

Tldr: i5/16gb will do be fine

same here..... had frequent 'memory issues' until we moved up to 16GB. All i5s too

Our new PCs specced for this curriculum have 8GB. It's going to be an issue pretty shortly, but I can't customise that spec!

The GPUs should be fine for most basic work the kids will do (Intel 630).

I went with the following specs

i7-7700

16GB memory

500GB NVMe + 1 TB SSD for scratch disks

GTX 1070

4K displays

That was in 2017 though. They've been rock solid and performance has been great, had lots of praise from the teach for fast render times which has sped up lessons dramatically.

When they're up for replacement, I'll be getting a similar setup but with more modern components.

edit: Due to the spec we've been able to explore virtual reality, blender and some pretty decent autoCAD modelling. Which if we didn't go for a spec that high I doubt we would have been able to do.

I've just done this for 2 new IT classrooms. Went with 12th Gen i7, 16GB RAM, 512SSD. Test machine seems to run Adobe CC well :)

I should bloody well hope so! Can we have your budget? :D
