Got a random issue here.

Shortcuts like

Win+.

Win+Shift+S

Have stopped working. Nothing has changed within group policy.

Has anyone else seen this?

Silly question, are all the keys on the keyboard working (mainly thinking the Windows key itself, so pressing the Windows key on its own brings up the start menu).

We have seen this too.. We have a snipping tool that used to be accessible by win+shift+S but it has stopped working. Also no changes. A window update?

I used to get Win+Shift+S stop after a use or 2 each session on W10 at one site only. Never figured out why, but not happened on the same machine since an in place upgrade to W11.

According to the patch megathread on Reddit its a bug in Windows 10. It appears that the May patch Tuesday still hasnt resolved it.
You got a link to that?

I think Win+Shift+S is one of the shortcuts covered by the Group Policy setting that disables Win+E and Win+R and some other (but not all) Win key shortcuts. I can't remember which policy setting exactly, but maybe a bug affecting that same subset of shortcuts?

If your users are needing a shortcut to invoke Snip & Sketch, you can push out a reg setting via Group Policy to map the PrintScreen button to it.

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Control Panel\Keyboard

Name: PrintScreenKeyForSnippingEnabled
Type: REG_DWORD
Value: 1
