dansymons Posted June 20, 2008 Posted June 20, 2008 We have a user using one of the above printers connected locally to her machine. Sometimes, when she prints the printer sits there and does nothing! No error lights, Windows says the printer is printing but it blatently isn't! She has found by switching it off and on again it will then print the job, this is happening more and more as the days go by and she is getting quiet annoyed by it. We have several other of these printers connected in the exact same way, using the same driver and settings and all seem to work fine. I myself have one of these and it's never needed switching off. Any ideas? Cheers
Michael Posted June 20, 2008 Posted June 20, 2008 Try changing the data cable between the printer and desktop? And if it's USB, try using another port. You could also try deleting and re-creating the printer in Windows too.
button_ripple Posted June 20, 2008 Posted June 20, 2008 We have exactly the same problem here. Try re-installing the printer or use a different coonection if you can.
Andie Posted June 20, 2008 Posted June 20, 2008 We had a similar problem with an HP Business Inkjet. It was the USB port. As already suggested, try another USB port and if that doesn't work, try and find another cable.
